The decontamination stage is essential to your detailing process before polishing, sealing and waxing to remove all tar and glue landing on your car then to remove all ferrous material such as baked on brake dust.

After your wash stage you should spray tar and glue remover all round the body and wheels leave to dwell then fully rinse off. Next you should repeat this process with a fallout remover. It is done in this order because ferrous material can be underneath tar spots.

Finally to fully remove contaminants you should use a clay bar or clay mitt with a quick detailer or clay lube.
