Decontamination
After the cleaning process every car should be decontaminated intermittently to remove tar spots and metal fallout from brakes and other sources of contamination.
This is achieved in a 3 step process:
Step 1: Use TARantula to remove any tar spots around the car. This is best used by spraying to a microfibre towel and applying to desired surfaces only. This towel is best hand washed separately after. Avoid using on plastic, trim or any aftermarket surfaces or “mods”.
Step 2: Redemption Fallout Remover can be sprayed all over the paint and wheels to remove metal fallout, Iron II Oxide, mainly from brake dust. This is the one that turns red when used. Redemption is very nice to use due to how well it clings and how long it reacts. Active ingredients in the key here, this one's a favourite with our trade account holders.
Step 3: Clay - you can use clay bars, mitts, blocks and other alternative methods. The goal is to physically remove any bonded contamination that cannot be removed chemically. This is best skipped unless you intend to polish afterwards to remove any marring it causes.
